MANILA, Philippines – Almost a week after the boat mishap in Antique, former beauty queen and actress Bianca Manalo returned to Manila and shared details of the experience she went through.

On Thursday, March 29, Bianca, along with actress Ehra Madrigal and a few other companions were rescued after the boat they were riding to Mararison Island capsized. (READ: Bianca Manalo, Ehra Madrigal safe following Antique boat mishap)

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Bianca said that she was one of those who pacified the people following the incident.

"I was trying to calm everyone down. Naging pacifier ako ng group...may takot sa puso but lagi akong nagdadasal. Lagi kong sinasabi ' Lord save us, Lord save us. Please Lord, calm the waters. 'Yun ang lumalabas sa bibig ko. Never akong nagsisisgaw, never.  Puro prayers and kapag natataranta na ang mga kasama ko, kinakalma ko sila. Sinasabi ko mas malulunod tayo kapag nataranta kayo,” she said.

(I was the one who pacified the group...I felt fear in my heart  but I always prayed. I always kept saying ' Lord save us, Lord save us. Please Lord, calm the waters. That's what was coming out of my lips. I never shouted, never. It was all prayers and when one of my companions start panicking, I calm them down. I would tell them we will drown if we panicked.)

Bianca said that she praised her other companions because a lot of them were calm during the incident. She admitted that there was a point she almost lost hope as her boyfriend, Pandan mayor Jonathan Tan and one of them companions, Torrebeo Barrientos swam to get help.

"Yes, pumasok na 'yun sa isip ko na baka hindi ko na makita 'yung family ko. Lagi kong sinasabi na Lord kung ito na 'yun, so be it. Basta hanggang sa dulo, nagpe-pray lang ako ng nagpe-pray. Hanggang sa dumating na yung rescue."

(Yes, it got into my head that I might not see my family anymore. I kept saying, 'Lord, if this it, so be it. Until the end, I kept praying and praying. Until rescue came.)

Bianca also said that she got worried that Jonathan might not make it after swimming for two hours.

Her background in basic training was also a help she said. Before becoming a beauty queen and actress, Bianca was a flight attendant.

When the rescue finally came, Bianca said she was crying non-stop.She also said that it was her family and her faith that kept her going thoughout the ordeal.

"When I saw the rescue, I was crying non-stop. Lord thank you. My gosh, thank you. 'Yun ang unforgettable, 'yung pabalik na kami ng laot. Naisip ko, salamat Panginoon ko.”

(That was unforgettable, when we returned to land. I kept thinking, 'Thank you, Lord.)

Bianca also said that with the experience, she realized that there's still probably a reason why she still alive.

"Instead of saying na bakit ko ito pinagdaanan, ang iniisip ko, why do I deserve to be given a second chance to live. Siguro meron pa nga akong mission sa buhay, may purpose pa ako in life," Bianca said.

(Instead of saying why i had to go through it, I asked myself why do I deserve to be given a second chance to live. I guess I still have mission in life, I still have a purpose in life.) – Rappler.com

'Witness': Katy Perry's return to Manila is out of this world

MANILA, Philippines — It used to be that getting ready for a Katy Perry concert was as simple and straight-forward as donning a pair of cat (or animal of choice) ears or copping a vibrant wig with straight-cut bangs. Combine this with the cutest, most colorful and twee outfit you owned, and you were pretty much ready to go.

But in the way of all true movers and shakers in the entertainment industry, Katy Perry’s aesthetic has been refined over the years, moving from technicolor lollipop fantasies to, well, something quite out of this world.

While she has always been quite the innovator in terms of style and fashion, her latest album Witness marks a great leap forward for her musically, individually, and as an icon.

The proof is in her third visit to the Philippines for Witness: The Tour at the Mall of Asia Arena on April 2.

Because while kitschy, quirky costumes and off-kilter music videos may be her signature as an artist, her fifth studio album is worlds away.

In Witness, she tones down the hook-laden tunes of her past incarnations to make room for more ballads, delving deeper into themes of self-empowerment that her fourth album, Prism, seems to only have scratched the surface of.

MOA Arena was filled to the brim with fans, lovingly dubbed KatyCats, adorned in everything from the iconic cat ears and colorful wigs to spaceman sequins and Styrofoam eyeballs—emblematic of the Witness album.

Some fans even went as far as to arrive in her stage costumes from the current tour, proudly displaying everything from bedazzled silver veils to sequined body suits.

Toddlers, teenagers, and parents alike toted light sticks and glowing headbands, equally alight with fervor and excitement to watch the singer perform—a testament to the fact that while Katy has been in the industry for more than a decade, she’s still an artist can keep old fans hooked while simultaneously converting new generations to her work.

Katy Perry’s concerts are well-known as full-blown theatrical productions, and Witness: The Tour does not disappoint. Foregoing the usual opening act or even the distraction of a pre-show DJ, Katy gets right into the heart of it with a red-hot (as in, the color of the skin-tight, sparkly costume she donned for the opening) and heavy rock rendition of the titular track "Witness."

Her stunning on-stage reveal was followed by the heady dreampop concoction that is "Roulette," complete with her back-up dancers in full-force and a stunning parkour performance on larger-than-life dice.

The first half of the show continues in the same thread, rife with giant props and undulating dance numbers that make full use of her stage and winding catwalk, a production that is smooth with well-timed segues and lightning-quick costume changes (a staggering total of 6, a majority of them latex bodysuits no less), treating the audience to hits old and new like "Dark Horse," "Chained to the Rhythm," "Teenage Dream," "Hot N Cold," and "Last Friday Night (TGIF)."

And while the singer’s massive repertoire of chart-topping hits may feel, at some point, a little been-there, seen-that, Katy knows just how to cater to her fans.

The quick wit and quirky humor that she’s known for, combined with the fact that she’s been putting on shows for a majority of her life, turn what could have felt like a too-polished performance of her discography into a celebration of her prolific career instead.

For "California Gurls," Katy calls on the beloved Left Shark, infamous thanks to the legendary Super Bowl 2015 performance, amping up the theatrics for the crowd before a short interlude in which she invites a very overwhelmed fan onto the stage to learn a bit of Filipino and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take a selfie with her.

{source}<iframe width="100%" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Mbz6fBSGhoA?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>{/source}

It’s in moments like these that, while pre-meditated and running the risk of seeming completely contrived, Katy sets herself apart from other artists of her stature.

The skit is practiced, but the earnestness of her desire to connect is not.

She is a professional, has done this a million times before, but when she says “mahal kita” (I love you) in stuttering Filipino, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that she means it. For however much she’s grown over the years – the culmination of which has been shedding her iconic burlesque queen black locks for her current bleached blond boycut – Katy is as wide-eyed and eager to put on a great show for people as she’d been a lifetime ago in 2012, at the very first concert she’d staged here.

The show continues with the single that brought her into worldwide consciousness, "I Kissed A Girl," before another costume change and a series of Burton-esque performances for "Déjà Vu" and "Tsunami."

The stage, which has been consistently whimsical with inventive prop designs, hits a high with her performance of "E.T.," in which creatures on stilts accompany her. This sets the tone for the next song, the NSFW "Bon Appétit."

And then, then comes that magical moment that happen so rarely now in concerts, where people actually use their phones for something other than snapping photos and taking videos.

Another smooth transition, and Katy comes back on stage to serenade the audience on acoustic guitar with "Wide Awake," the entire arena aglow with the modern day version of lighters in the air (that is, with phone flashlights waving), the space awash with the voices of thousands of fans singing along to every heartfelt word.

After "Into Me You See," Katy successfully amps up the crowd again with "Power," "Part of Me," "Swish Swish," and "Roar" before ending the show with a breathtaking performance of "Firework," complete with confetti stars and actual fireworks on stage.

In total, the show (note: Katy Perry’s performances are always so much more than a mere concert) lasts a little over two hours, but after a decade of growth and the kind of hit-making consistency that other artists are hard-pressed to emulate, it feels like a mere moment before it’s all over.

MANILA, Philippines – Sharon Cuneta is recovering, following surgery on Monday, April 2, for the removal of a lipoma in the nape of her neck .

According to WebMD, a lipoma "happens when a lump of fat starts to grow in the soft tissue of your body. Though they’re classified as tumors, they’re usually harmless."

Sharon spoke about the surgery on Tuesday, April 3 on Instagram: "Mind and heart are resting. Recovering well. Also, had surgery yesterday. Had a lipoma pala on my batok (nape), and my yaya assistant had been noticing it for a while hanggang lumaki na (until it grew so big) that they finally told me!" Sharon wrote.

The actress and The Voice of the Philippines coach also said that the removed mass is undergoing a biopsy but she's not scared of the results. She's still feeling the effects of the anaesthesia after the surgery, so she feels drowsy and a bit sore.

She added: "Please pray for me. [I have a] taping this week so I have to get all the rest I can and pray I recover quickly. Love you guys. Don't worry about me. God bless you. Sweet dreams."

NEW YORK, USA – Pop star Demi Lovato has caused a sensation among her fans through a sensual, in-concert makeout session with fellow singer Kehlani.

Lovato, the former Disney child TV star turned voice of pop hits such as "Sorry Not Sorry," ended her North American tour Monday evening, April 2 in Newark sitting on a white on-stage bed.

As topless male dancers in white caps and trousers pranced around her, Lovato leaned forward to sing her track "Lonely" and Kehlani, her opening act, suddenly plopped behind her and reached over to kiss her on the lips.

With fans cheering, Lovato smiled and hugged the rising R&B star before flipping her over and grinding her hips astride her.

Fan footage of the unexpected romp quickly turned viral, with Lovato's concert trending on social media.

For some viewers, what Lovato described as an "incredible fun sexy crazy night" turned into questions about her sexuality.

The reply was a winking reference to "Honey," one of Kehlani's signature songs in which she touches on her bisexuality.

Kehlani on Instagram said that the dancers encouraged her to come on stage for the kiss but "anyone would be stupid not to jump at the chance."

Lovato, who resumes her tour on April 15 with a Latin American swing starting in Sao Paulo, dated the actor Wilmer Valderrama for 6 years.

MANILA, Philippines – Nadine Lustre said she still hopes to be part of the movie The Nurse, following an announcement on Twitter by director Jun Robles Lana that she would no longer be in the movie.

In a Twitter post on March 27, Jun was asked by a fan of the actress if Nadine would be able to do the film. According to the Die Beautiful director, a "scheduling conflict" was getting in the way.

"Scheduling conflict. Been waiting too long and it’s taken too much of my time. Going to Japan 2x to prep is no joke. Time to move and let go and recast. Thanks for the interest, guys," he tweeted.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Nadine said that she has yet to get updates on the movie's shooting schedule from Viva. She also admitted that she still wants to do the movie.

"With the schedule medyo tight po kasi pero (it's very tight but) hopefully, sana po (I can do it)," she said.

"It's a good material po kasi and it's different from other projects that I've done before, medyo suspense and thriller. Pero let's see. If it's meant for me makukuha ko naman yon (I'll get the project)."

The Nurse is supposed to be Nadine's solo project and was announced in August 2017. The movie was also mentioned last January during the promotions for her and James Reid's concert Revolution concert.

IN HOT WATER AGAIN. Robin Padilla against courts controversy over statements made on a show he judges, Pilipinas Got Talent. File photo by Angie de Silva/Rappler

MANILA, Philippines – Actor Robin Padilla is again at the center of a controversy over remarks made as a judge of the show Pilipinas Got Talent.

During an episode that aired on April 1, Sunday, Padilla told a contestant, who happened to be a single mother, that she still “needs” a man.

Filipinos online called out Padilla for his remark, saying it was sexist and misogynist.

According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the judges were commenting on the performance of contestant Kristel de Catalina, a single mom who wowed on the spiral pole.

Padilla, one of 3 judges, praised Kristel’s form and performance.

De Catalino also got nothing but praises from judges Vice Ganda and Angel Locsin.

Vice Ganda, a comedian, showered extra praise for the “symbolism” of Kristel’s talent – that a woman can and will shine because of and despite being a single parent.

It’s after this remark that Padilla interjected: “Pero, kailangan mo pa rin ng lalaki (But you still need a man).”

This wouldn’t be the first time for Robin or the show to find itself in the middle of a controversy – or at least intense debate – over remarks or statements made during its airing. – Rappler.com

According to Soompi, "Everyday" reached No. 1 on all 6 major Korean realtime charts just hours after its release.

WINNER leader Yoon took to Twitter to thank their fans – collectively known as Inner Circle – after the release:

They have, however, kept mum about their love lives thus far.

When asked what he thought about the dating rumors about him and Lili, Cole told Elle in April 2017: “I am one of those guys that's never ever going to talk about my private life with the public sphere. I mean people can talk about Jughead as much as they want but when it comes to the personal relationships, I have spent much of my life separating work and play so I will continue to do so.”

At Riverdale’s 2018 Paley Fest panel on March 25, Cole responded “no comment” to a fan who asked if he and Lili were dating.

Brillante Mendoza: Netflix series shows 'necessary' PH drug war

DRUG WAR STORY. Filmmaker Brillante Mendoza, a known Duterte supporter, has directed the past two State of the Nation Addresses. Photo by Patrick Kovarik/AFP

MANILA, Philippines – The deadly drug war waged by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is to be dramatized in the first Netflix series by award-winning director Brillante Mendoza, who says the internationally-condemned crackdown is "necessary."

"Amo,"  which premieres April 9, is about a high school student who starts selling crystal meth and ends up tangled in a nightmarish world populated by violent kingpins and corrupt officials.

It is the latest up-close examination of the dark side of Philippine life from Cannes-honored Mendoza, who is a Duterte supporter and has filmed two government advertisements promoting the president's anti-drug campaign. (READ: Brillante Mendoza to direct Duterte's second SONA)

"Yes, it [the drug war] is necessary for the Philippines — not only for the Philippines but also other countries afflicted with the drug problem," the 57-year-old Filipino told AFP in a telephone interview.

"The reason why I did this is so people can see the other side of the coin," he said – from the point of view of the "victims" as well as the "victimizers."

Philippine police say they have killed roughly 4,000 drug suspects who fought back during arrest since Duterte launched the war nearly two years ago, promising to rid his nation of narcotics.

But rights groups allege the actual number is three times higher and accuse authorities of slaying unarmed slum-dwellers in a nation where a quarter of the population lives in poverty.

"Amo," Filipino slang for "master," explores the drug problem as experienced by different characters, including a student and his policeman uncle.

Mendoza said he would not like the series "to look like propaganda for the government... It is not."

Nonetheless, the filmmaker stressed he remained an "advocate" against illegal drugs.

Netflix did not respond to AFP's requests for comment.

'Based on real events'

In a Filipino film industry dominated by syrupy, star-driven productions, Mendoza runs an independent production outfit that stands out for its choice of controversial topics.

He crafts stories of ordinary people in situations ranging from prostitution to corruption.

His "Kinatay" (Butchered), a gritty film that graphically depicts the rape, murder, and dismemberment of a sex worker, won him the Cannes best director award in 2009.

His films have been well received in Europe and in 2014, Mendoza became the first Filipino director to receive one of France's highest honours, the Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters).

Mendoza earlier told AFP he learned about the full extent of the nation's drug problem while doing research for the 2016 film "Ma' Rosa," which won the Cannes best actress award.

The director said he did not want to comment on the current state of Duterte's drug war, or the preliminary examination announced by the International Criminal Court over the crackdown that critics say amounts to war crimes.

"I think my work, including the series I'm doing, speaks volumes about what I want to say. I'd rather have my work do the talking," he said.

Mendoza said "Amo" was originally shot for a Philippine television station that contracted him to make a series of films.

But he convinced the network boss to "explore... platforms other than free TV" for the series, and sent two of the episodes to Netflix.

"I think one of the reasons why they were interested in the material, in the story, is the way it was shot. It looks very realistic, like a documentary-style shoot and unlike your typical TV series," Mendoza said.

"This is something based on research, and the police had their input too. Our story was based on real events."– Rappler.com

LOS ANGELES, USA – Actress Lynda Carter, who played superhero Wonder Woman in the 1970s, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, April 3.

"It will be here forever, and maybe it needs to say Wonder Woman, or maybe not, we'll see. Hopefully this character and I will live on in the memories of people," 66-year-old Carter said.

"There were no women in television during my era. So they didn't really think that we could hold an audience," she said.

She addressed the #MeToo movement sparked by the Harvey Weinstein sex abuse scandal, which ended his career and those of numerous other powerful Hollywood figures.

The "#MeToo movement is strong and I give everything to this generation," she said. "What my generation can do is support you."

"We've been screaming the same thing but it took this generation of women to make the difference."

Carter played the heroine between 1975 and 1979 on television, first on ABC and then CBS – part of an acting career that has spanned several decades.

The ceremony was attended by Patty Jenkins, the director of the 2017 Wonder Woman film which took in $821 million worldwide, as well as dozens of Carter's fans. – Rappler.com

Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata dies at 82

MANILA, Philippines (2ND UPDATE) – Isao Takahata, co-founder of Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli, died in his home on Friday, April 6. He was 82.

The studio confirmed news reports from Japanese media about Takahata's death.

"(His death) is true, but we can't comment further as we are trying to confirm some facts around it," a Studio Ghibli spokesperson told Agence France-Presse.

Takahata had reportedly been ailing for over a year due to heart issues.

The winner of many awards domestically and internationally, Takahata was considered one of the greats of Japanese animated film and is often linked with long-term Studio Ghibli collaborator Hayao Miyazaki.

He enjoyed a career spanning several decades, producing both films and work for the small screen and his latest production, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, earned him an Academy nomination for best animated feature.

An adaptation of a popular tale from the 10th century – considered one of the founding texts of Japanese literature – the film was also selected for a slot in the Directors' Fortnight sidebar to the main Cannes film competition in 2014.

It also won rave reviews, with the New York Times in 2014 describing it as "exquisitely drawn with both watercolor delicacy and a brisk sense of line."

However, most consider Takahata's 1988 film Grave of the Fireflies, a moving tale of two orphans during World War II, to be his best work.

In 2000, famed reviewer Roger Ebert wrote that the movie "belongs on any list of the greatest war films ever made."

Friends and rivals

Born in 1935 in Mie prefecture in central Japan, his early life was marked with violence when US forces bombed his hometown in June 1945 as World War II was coming to a close.

In an interview with the Japan Times, he described fleeing with his sister barefoot and still in his pajamas.

On his way back to the family house, he recalled seeing piles of bodies in the street. "We were lucky to get out alive," he told the newspaper.

Takahata started his career in animation at the Toei studio in 1959, where he eventually met long-term collaborator and rival Miyazaki.

With Miyazaki, he co-founded in 1985 the Japanese animation Studio Ghibli, which went on to produce several blockbusters.

With more complex and occasionally more violent plots than depicted in the average Disney cartoon film, these films have at times confused audiences outside Japan, who largely consider animation to be primarily for young children.

However, this has not stopped the films being lucrative box-office smashes.

Takahata and Miyazaki were often described as friends and rivals at the same time.

"We would never criticize each other face-to-face because it would just cause a fight. However, I know he has criticized my work," Takahata told the Japan Times.

Over a long and distinguished career, Takahata produced around 20 films, including Only Yesterday (1991) and Pom Poko (1994).

He also produced the Miyazaki-directed 1984 film Kaze no Tani no Naushika (The Valley of the Wind), a science fantasy adventure that describes the relationship between nature and human beings.

He is also well-known for animation series Alps no Shojo Heidi (Heidi, Girl of the Alps) and Lupin Sansei (Lupin the Third).

Perhaps inspired by his early trauma, he was an avid anti-war campaigner and in 2013 co-signed with around 250 other film celebrities a petition against a controversial state secrets law.

According to a statement from Studio Ghibli, he died in the early hours of Thursday in a Tokyo hospital after a battle with lung cancer.

"We pray that he rests in peace," the studio said, adding that he would be buried in a private ceremony attended by close family.

After studying French literature at university, Takahata enjoyed a long relationship with France and was awarded the Order of Arts and Letters honour in recognition of his work in 2015.

"France is the country I have travelled in most and I am extremely happy to have been decorated by the nation to which I feel closest," he said in his acceptance speech. – Kyoko Hasegawa, AFP/Rappler.com

(He was nervous, he was really scared. And then he was shouting, ‘Whoo, I can’t do this anymore, I can’t!’ I said, ‘No, kuya, you can.)

Madrigal said that Yeung was helping Dable, who didn’t know how to swim, when Dable began foaming at the mouth.

Madrigal, Yeung, Dable, and Tan, were on a boat to Mararison Island on March 29, along with Tan’s girlfriend, actress Bianca Manalo, another bodyguard, and a couple and their two children. (READ: Bianca Manalo recalls boat mishap in Antique)

According to the News5 report, a big wave hit the boat right before it began to sink. Tan and one of their companions swam for help, while the rest stayed behind and hung onto the boat for 3 hours.

During the interview, Madrigal and Yeung also said that it was Tan who was driving the boat before it capsized, though the News5 report quotes Tan saying that it was his bodyguard who was at the helm.

The couple also said that overloading and a wrong route may have caused the incident.

On Instagram on April 5, Madrigal assured her fans that she is fine, though she is still recovering from asthma and pneumonia. She added: “I may have some bruises, sunburn, and bouts of anxiety attack (everything is totally sinking in now) but my spirit is definitely stronger! I just have so much love to give! Will get better coz I can’t wait to see and hug all my loved ones and friends soon!”

Quark and Bianca got together sometime in 2015. In an interview with ABS-CBN, Quark, who directed movies such as Keka, Rakenrol, and My Candidate, recalled what attracted him to Bianca.

"Blue hair. That, to me, was really cute. And the nicest eyes. She was a bit awkward, which I loved. I think it came to a point when we first talked that it was just the two of us and we had been talking for an hour. And people around us started noticing and giving looks. We both got conscious and parted, but eventually found a way to hang out a little more," he said.

Aside from being a singer, Bianca also works for the record label Tarsier Records. –Rappler.com

The story behind Sarah Geronimo's 'Duyan': The 'high' of love

Sarah Geronimo, queen to all popsters and voice behind catchy hits like “Kilometro” and “Ikot Ikot,” dropped her latest single on April 6, Friday. And while “Duyan” itself  got us daydreaming about the warm and fuzzy memories of a love that makes us feel secure, the story behind the song has left us gushing for even more.

Hours after the song was released, singer and song writer Yumi Lacsama shared the story behind its creation on Twitter. Yumi and Thyro Alfaro collaborated with Sarah for the song.

According to Yumi, who is behind hits like “Triangulo” and “Dyosa,” Sarah wanted a song that would be able to express the “high of love.”

Yumi, puwedeng magpagawa ng kasing puso ng 'Ikot Ikot'? Sana parang tunog soul na 'sing angas at lagkit. 'Yung 'Ikot Ikot' kasi pagod pero nagmamahal pa rin. Itong song lang sana na gagawin mas high sa pag-ibig hahaha,” said Yumi in a tweet, quoting the popstar princess.

(Yumi, can we do one with the same heart as ‘Ikot-Ikot?’ Hopefully one that sounds soulful and has the same effect. ‘Ikot-Ikot’ talks about being tired but loving nonetheless. This song that we’re making should be more about the high of love.)

Yumi said that after her exchange with Sarah, she spoke to Thyro about how they’d come up with a song that describes “that kind of love.”

Gusto namin bawat letra at melody mararamdaman ng makikinig. At masarap pakinggan (We wanted the listener to feel every letter and melody. And we wanted it to be an easy listen),” she added.

The result? The slow, hypnotic, and kilig-inducing “Duyan.”

But the next logical question would be: From what life experience is Sarah drawing the “high of love” from?

While we can’t quite read her mind just yet, we’ll settle for recent photos and videos of Sarah celebrating the birthday of her boyfriend, actor Matteo Guidicelli. – Rappler.com

WATCH: Designer Marc Jacobs proposes to boyfriend via flash mob

HE SAID YES. Marc Jacobs and Char Defrancesco are engaged. Screenshot from Instagram.com/themarcjacobs

One may think that flash mob proposals are so 2012, but trust a top designer to bring it back in style. Marc Jacobs proposed to his boyfriend, candlemaker Char Defrancesco, on April 4, and the flash mob was his gimmick of choice.

The proposal took place as the couple celebrated Char’s birthday at Chipotle (because what could be more romantic than Mexican fastfood?). As the crowd at the restaurant started dancing to Prince's "Kiss," Char calmly filmed the scene on his phone, with a look of mild amusement on his face. But when the crowd stopped dancing and Marc got down on one knee, Char was visibly surprised – though, of course, he said yes.

Going extra for each other seems to be par for the course for this couple. In 2016, Char made a video for Marc featuring queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race lipsynching to “Big Spender” from Sweet Charity, all of them wearing pieces from the Marc Jacobs Resort 2017 collection.

Marc and Char have been together for over two years, and were first spotted together in late 2015. – Rappler.com
