MANILA, Philippines – Comedian Vice Ganda called out the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Ali Mall branch for playing a pirated copy of the movie A Second Chance.

On Friday, February 5, Vice retweeted Star Cinema's advertising and promotions manager Mico del Rosario.

Mico's tweet was a photo of the movie being played at the DFA's Ali Mall office captioned, "Dear DFA Ali mall, bakit po kayo nagpapalabas ng pirated copy ng A Second Chance diyan? Blatant na po talaga ang paglabag sa batas? Umm... Government agency po kayo?"

(Dear DFA Ali Mall, why are you showing a pirated copy of A Second Chance? The violation of the law is really so blatant now? Umm... you're a government agency?)

Vice, on the other hand, captioned his retweet: "This is DISGUSTING!!! Hoy DFA Ali Mall ang garapal nitong ahensya ng gobyerno na ito (Hey DFA Ali Mall, this government agency is so outrageous)!!!"

It seems the comedian couldn't help but joke about the situation, though, as he tweeted after, "Langya magpalabas ba ng pirated na A Second Chance e meron namang pirated na Beauty and the Bestie (They have no shame for showing a pirated copy of A Second Chance when there's already a pirated copy of Beauty and the Bestie!!!"

Vice was referencing his most recent movie, Beauty and the Bestie, in which he co-stars with Coco Martin. The movie was an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival in December 2015.

As of writing, DFA spokesman Charles Jose told Rappler that they are looking into the situation. – Rappler.com
