In the "Hymn for the Weekend" music video, released on Friday, January 29 on YouTube, the band is seen performing the song as celebrants of the Holi festival throw the colorful powder associated with the Hindu festival.
Chris Martin walks through the streets of Mumbai and sees Beyonce in a movie theater, on billboards, and on TV sets around the city.
Beyonce is all decked out in Indian jewelry, dresses, and henna tattoos.
"Hymn for the Weekend" is from Coldplay's 7th album, A Head Full of Dreams. Aside from Beyonce, the album also features Tove Lo and frontman Chris Martin's ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
In an interview on BBC Radio 1, bassist Guy Berryman said, "It started as a different kind of vibe, (lead singer) Chris (Martin) wanted to write a party song." Beyonce, he shared, recorded her part of the song in 5 minutes.
Coldplay and Beyonce are both set to perform in the Superbowl in February. – Rappler.com
