MANILA, Philippines – Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Wendy Valdez announced on Saturday, December 26 that she is pregnant.
On Instagram, Wendy recounted her whirlwind year with non-showbiz husband Normann Garcia – the two met in March and got married on December 8.

In the post, which was accompanied by a photo of a pregnancy test, Wendy said that she was already two and a half weeks pregnant.
"I was hesitating to let people know because I have witnessed stories of women losing babies before 3 months of pregnancy," Wendy shared. "But God asked me where my faith is."
Wendy also said that she would be praying for the protection of her baby, which she believes is God's gift to her and her husband this Christmas.
The baby is the couple's first child.

Wendy was Binibining Pilipinas Tourism in 2005, before she joined PBB season 2 in 2007. She placed 3rd in that season of PBB, while Beatriz Saw won.
Wendy then married fellow housemate Bruce Quebral, but their marriage was annulled in 2012.
