MANILA, Philippines – With Christmas just around the corner, Christmas song covers have been trickling in, and the latest is Hozier's cover of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."
Hozier covered the Christmas classic in a video published by BBC Radio 1 on December 8.
The mournful tune suits Hozier's strong and haunting vocals, calling to mind his single, "Take Me to Church."
Hozier isn't the only artist performing Christmas tunes for the holidays, either.
Celine Dion and Michael Buble performed a duet of Yoko Ono and John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)," for Michael's "Christmas in Hollywood" special.
Miley Cyrus also performed "Silent Night" on "A Very Murray Christmas," a variety show hosted by Bill Murray.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Kathyrn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, and other local stars celebrated the holidays by performing at ABS-CBN's annual Christmas special.
