MANILA, Philippines – Denise Laurel is the grand winner of Your Face Sounds Familiar season 2. (Photo recap: 'Your Face Sounds Familiar 2' finals, day 1)
Denise was declared the winner at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on Sunday, December 13.
Denise performed the songs "Love on Top" and "Crazy in Love" as Beyonce on December 12.
There were 4 other finalists in the running for grand winner – Sam Concepcion, Kean Cipriano, KZ Tandingan, and Michael Pangilinan.
After the live performances, viewers were asked to vote for their Grand Winner.
Denise won a trophy and P2 million, half of which will go to her chosen charity, Caritas.
"Thank you. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng bumoto at nanood ng Your Face (a huge thanks to everyone who voted and watched Your Face), most especially to ABS and Your Face for giving me this chance after 19 years," an emotional Denise told the press after the show.
Denise, who last appeared in the afternoon drama Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita? said that she wanted to win for her son Alejandro, and teach him the importance of hard work.

"I never won [the weekly rounds] and every week umiiyak ang anak ko kasi hindi ako nanalo (my son would cry because I would never win). But I want to show him about hard work and perseverance na kahit ano man mangyari (whatever happens), try and try until you die talaga," she said.
Denise said that already felt like a winner after being part of the top finalists and getting to impersonate Beyonce.
"I got to do Beyonce and for that, for me, was more than I could ever ask for," she said.
Your Face Sounds Familiar season 2 was hosted by Billy Crawford and co-hosted by last season's winner, Melai Cantiveros. The judges were Sharon Cuneta, Jed Madela, and Gary Valenciano. – Rappler.com
