NEW YORK, USA – British rock band Coldplay will be the headline act performing at Super Bowl 50 in February in suburban San Francisco, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, December 3. (READ: Could Coldplay's next album be their last?)
Citing unnamed sources familiar with the decision, the newspaper said Coldplay will play the high-profile event at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and likely soon after begin selling tickets for a North American tour.
The report comes a day before the release of Coldplay's 7th album, A Head Full of Dreams, on Friday.
