MANILA, Philippines – Jon Snow and Ygritte may not have had a happy ending on Game of Thrones, but the actors who play them may just get theirs.
According to People, sources say that Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played doomed lovers on the HBO hit series, are now engaged.
Meanwhile, BBC reported that a wedding announcement was published in The Times newspaper.
“The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” the announcement read.
The couple has yet to confirm the reports.
The two fell in love in Iceland while filming Game of Thrones in 2012, when Rose joined the cast as the wildling that would make Jon Snow break his vows of celibacy as a man of the Night’s Watch.
The couple broke up briefly but reunited in 2014. They only went public with their relationship in 2016 when they attended the Olivier Awards together.
In an appearance on Late night with James Corden in June, Kit talked about moving in and living with Rose, whom he called his best friend.
In the same interview, Nicole Kidman, who was also a guest on the show, asked Kit if he and Rose would be getting married.
“Step by step,” Kit said in response.
