MANILA, Philippines – The 3rd installment of theDivergent movies (based on the book series) is coming soon, and a new trailer has been released, teasing us with shots of the action-packed film. (READ: ‘Divergent’ review: Troubled teenagers)
Allegiant picks up where the second installment, Insurgent, left off. In this movie, Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) venture outside the walls of Chicago, the only place they’ve ever known, only to discover new truths in the outside world. They soon become embroiled in a battle that threatens humanity. (READ: 6 cool 'Divergent' facts)
There’s no shortage of the action that the Divergent series is known for in this trailer. Aside from shots of the battle, we also see the pristine Bureau of Genetic Welfare, and the futuristic world outside of Chicago.
Like many recent movie series, the Divergent series will have a two-part finale. This trailer is for the first of the two movies.
The Divergent series is based on a book trilogy of the same name by Victoria Roth.
Allegiant opens in US theaters in March 2016.
