MANILA, Philippines – The family of Caleb Bratayley confirmed that the 13-year-old YouTube star died of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
In October, the Bratayley family said on Instagram that he died of a heart condition. The Bratayleys are known for posting daily vlogs on YouTube. (READ: YouTube star Caleb Logan of the Bratayleys dies at 13)
The heart condition went undetected in Caleb's yearly checkups. "Caleb didn't have any symptoms so the doctor said there was nothing we could have done differently," they wrote.

According to Mayo Clinic, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is a disease where "the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick." This makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood.
Caleb's death was announced on October 2.
Bratayley is not actually the family's true surname. The family has been posting videos on their channel since 2010, sharing snippets of their daily lives and the children's various antics. – Rappler.com
