MANILA, Philippines – Hey X-Philes, your favorite show just released a creepy new teaser for its first season in 13 years, just in time for Halloween!
"We've been given another case Mulder," says Agent Scully on the phone in the video above. "It has a monster in it."
True enough, the trailer is chock-full of monsters that will give you chills – even for just the few seconds that they're flashed on the screen. "When has that ever stopped us before?" answers Mulder.
According to this new trailer's video description, the upcoming 6-episode season will kick off with the two FBI agents "taking on a case of a possible alien abductee." The next few episodes will be a mix of stand-alone episodes and "those that further the original show's seminal mythology."
This new season of the X-Files will air on January 24, 2016 in the US, and it will star the original actors who played Mulder and Scully, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
Aside from David and Gillian, you can also look forward to the show's lineup of guest stars, with Joel McHale, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Annabeth Gish, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby, Kumail Nanjiani, and William B. Davis.
Three of the episodes are directed by the show's creator/executive producer Chris Carter, and the rest will be directed by original series veterans Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong.
