MANILA, Philippines – Growing Pains actor Alan Thicke died of a heart attack on Tuesday, December 13 in the US. He was 69.
Thicke's publicist confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, saying that he suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his son. He was taken to the hospital that afternoon, where he was pronounced dead.
Thicke had 3 sons, Brennan, Carter, and singer Robin Thicke, who is known for his song "Blurred Lines." He is also survived by his wife Tanya.
Thicke is known for his role as Jason Seaver, the father in the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains.
He recently made appearances in NBC’s This Is Us and Netflix’s Fuller House. – Rappler.com
