MANILA, Philippines – The trailer for The Mummy reboot starring Tom Cruise was released on Sunday, December 4.
In the trailer, Nick (Tom Cruise) and Jenny (Annabelle Wallis) find themselves battling an ancient princess named Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) who wakes up after thousands of years of sleep to take revenge on those who stole her destiny from her.
Academy award winner Russell Crowe also stars in the film.
The Mummy is a reboot of the original film franchise. Back in 2015, Variety reported that Tom Cruise was being eyed to be part of the film.
The Mummy, directed by Alex Kurtzman, is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 9, 2017 in the US. – Rappler.com
