Aside from Mano Po 7, many moviegoers were surprised to hear that expected top-grossing films from large production companies didn't make it either.
Among them are movies like The Super Parental Guardians starring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin, Mang Kepweng Returns starring Vhong Navarro, and Enteng Kabisote10 and the Abangers starring Vic Sotto.
This year, many changes were made to the MMFF, including changes made to the selection criteria, the executive committee, and the submission rules.
