TRAVEL TO THE FUTURE. Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox appear as their 'Back to the Future' characters on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Screengrab from YouTube/Jimmy Kimmel Live

MANILA, Philippines – Back to the Future II stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd reprised their roles as Marty McFly and Doc Brown on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, October 21, the day they time traveled in the movie from 1989.

Marty and Doc weren't impressed when they arrived onstage in their time traveling car and found that there weren't any hoverboards or flying cars.

When Marty asked what people had been doing for over 30 years, Jimmy told them about the cronut: "It's like part croissant and part donut, and they put them together, and it's quite actually delicious," Jimmy explained as Marty and Doc shared unimpressed looks.

Jimmy also took a selfie with the two, and tried to explain what smartphones are.

"I'm taking a selfie with you guys. This is how we document important life events now," Jimmy said.

Doc seemed impressed by the "tiny supercomputer" until he saw a particular dating app for gay men on Jimmy's phone: "What's a Grindr?"

In the film, Marty McFly and “Doc” Emmett Brown, who were onboard the iconic DeLorean time machine, arrived on October 21, 2015 in the future version of Hill Valley, California. (Checking out the 2015 of 'Back to the Future')
