MANILA, Philippines – We've seen some incredibly sweet in-concert wedding proposals, but this one was done to the most fitting song.
At the St Louis stop of Beyonce's "Formation World Tour," her creative director and choreographer got down on one knee and "put a ring on it" – on his girlfriend and Beyonce's dance captain Ashley Everett, to be exact.
In the middle of "Single Ladies," Beyonce stopped performing and said, "I think there's somebody I want to bring on the stage."
Soon, John was up on stage and Beyonce and the other dancers went off to the side to give the couple the spotlight.
"She's my queen, so I feel it's only right to come out here in my hometown and show you guys what the epitome of a young woman looks like," said John, before kneeling down and asking Ashley to marry him.
After Ashley said yes, the show went on, with Beyonce telling her, "Now let’s see you do the choreography after that!"
On Instagram, Ashley said about the moment, "Still wrapping my head around the incredible, magical moment that happened last night! It was an absolute dream come true!"
After thanking those who supported and congratulated them, she told John, "I'm so overly excited for this new chapter in our lives and of course I can't wait to be your WIFE!!! I am truly #blessed. [September 10, 2016] is a day I will never forget."
She also used the hashtag "#helikeditsoheputaringonit."
