On Twitter on Tuesday, August 16, the model told her followers, "I will not allow the media to misconstrue my words. Taylor has always had my back and I will always have hers. And I will never be the girl that you can use to pit women against each other. That isn't me."

Karlie's comments come after an interview with Britain's The Sunday Times, where she was asked about the online bullying her best friend Taylor had received in recent months.
“In this day and age, it’s really easy for people to be bullies from a distance, whether you’re in a small town, with girls in high school who write something mean or malicious on a Facebook wall or an Instagram post...” she answered.
The writer, then brought up Kim, who leaked a phone conversation between her husband Kanye West and Taylor in July, sparking many of the negative comments Taylor has received.
When asked whether Kim was a good person, the model stammered in response: "Ha... you know... I honestly... I... I... I think she’s been a lovely person to me in the past. Look, I really don’t know her that well."
“My closest friends, really, are my sisters and my mom," she added.
The leaked phone call revealed that Kanye had gotten Taylor's permission for a line about her in his song "Famous," which Taylor had previously taken offense to.
Taylor went on Instagram after the leak, saying that there is no video of Kanye asking her permission for another line in the song, "I made that b*tch famous."
Taylor also implied that she didn't know that her phone call with Kanye was being recorded, which could lead to a possible lawsuit between her and the couple. – Rappler.com
