MANILA, Philippines – More stars have been announced to join Marvel Studio's Black Panther solo movie, which is scheduled for release in 2018. (READ: Black Panther, Marvel's African hero, in the spotlight)
On Twitter, Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o shared a photo of her with the cast, including lead star Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, as well as Michael B. Jordan. (READ: Black Panther, Marvel's African hero, in the spotlight)
Lupita is confirmed to play the role of Nakia, one of the Dora Milaje or "Adored Ones," who serves as a bodyguard to T'Challa.
Michael, meanwhile, will play Erik Killmonger, Black Panther's nemesis.
Actress Danai Gurira will play Okoye, Nakia's friend.
