MANILA, Philippines – Television series Once Upon A Time heads to Agrabah this September, as the show gave a sneak peek of Aladdin and Jafar in the upcoming 6th season.
In the trailer, a messenger is seeking Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) for help as he is pursued by the evil sorcerer Jafar (Oded Fehr). But the once great hero is not looking too good at all.
Jafar reaches Aladdin but refuses to kill him, wanting to see him languish. He tells him, "It's the fate of saviors. You give and give and give and for what? They pick the fruits, they cut the branches, and all that's left is this shaky stump – always."
"That's why you never hear this words about a savior: they lived happily ever after."
Entertainment Weeklyalso reported that Karen David known for her role in Galavant will play Princess Jasmine in the show.

"Well the cat's out of the bag... I can finally say that another childhood dream has come true! Growing up, I adored Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. Having a Disney role model to look up to as a young teen, who was strong, smart, witty and true to herself, and happened to be diverse, was so inspiring! Now to play her is such an honour. This casting means especially so much to me because of all YOU lovelies who wanted me to play this role from when I first started on Galavant!
