MANILA, Philippines – Stop that marching band. My Chemical Romance is not reuniting or going on tour again.
The band issued a statement after their video teaser cryptically announced a September 23 event, which sent fans into a frenzy, thinking it was for an impending reunion.
In the video teaser, a flag emblazoned with a cross is waving to the sound of the piano strains of their hit, "Welcome to the Black Parade."

We've been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer," the statement said. "We are not touring and there is no reunion planned - only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade."
"Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your minds and in your hearts," My Chemical Romance's statement closed.

The Black Parade debuted in 2006. In the words of Rolling Stone, it was a "rock opera [that] told the story of a cancer patient who experiences his death in the form of a parade and continues to reflect on his existence in the afterlife."

Alternative Press confirmed with their sources that the upcoming release would feature "previously unreleased demos that were originally scrapped from the record's final cut."
The magazine also reported that in 2006, during an interview with Black Parade producer Rob Cavallo, it was revealed that the band was mulling over "an alternate version of the record, after considering the amount of demos, finished songs and significantly different versions."
In 2013, My Chemical Romance – comprised of Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Mikey Way and Frank Iero – split after 12 years together and recording 4 albums.
