MANILA, Philippines – "To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before," goes the mission of the starship Enterprise – but in the final trailer for Star Trek Beyond, it doesn't exactly translate into glamorous conquests and discoveries.
"Can you imagine what we’ll find?” Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) asks in one part of the trailer.
Bones (Karl Urban) gives a grim response: "Alien despots hell bent on killing us, deadly space viruses, anomalies that could wipe us out in an instant."
In Star Trek Beyond, the Enterprise has been halfway through their 5-year mission as the crew are attacked by hostile aliens and separated from each other. But to add to the inhospitable circumstances they find themselves in, they encounter an enigmatic foe named Krall (Idris Elba).
