MANILA, Philippines – It was a big night for Filipino music as artists gathered for the grand finals of We Love OPM: The Celebrity Sing-Offs at the Newport Theater, Resorts World, Sunday, July 16.
Callalily singer Kean Cipriano and The Voice Philippines season 1 winner Mitoy Yonting opened the show with "Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika," alongside rock icon Mike Hanopol.
They were later joined by the mentors: Erik Santos, Nyoy Volante, Jay-R, KZ (Tandingan), and Yeng Constantino. Another mentor, Richard Poon, was not present due to prior commitments.
Anne Curtis, the show's host, came onstage and introduced Ryan Cayabyab, who judged at the grand finals. His and the public's votes were combined to determine the grand winner.
First up was the group of Jovit Baldovino, Bugoy Drilon, and Dominador "Daddy D" Aviola or Tres Kantos, who interpreted "Nais Ko." The group's mentor was Erik Santos. (Tres Kantos wins 'We Love OPM: The Celebrity Sing-Offs')
Up next was the girl group Oh My Girls – composed of Alexa Ilacad, Ylona Garcia, and Krissha Viaje – who sang Smokey Mountain's "Kailan." The group was mentored by Yeng Constantino.
The last group was O Diva – composed of Klarisse de Guzman, Liezel Garcia, and Emmanuelle Vera – who was mentored by KZ. The group interpreted "Limang Dipang Tao."
Before the announcement of winners, Sam Concepcion, Yohan Wang, and Iñigo Pascual serenaded the audience. Voting was opened after all 3 performances.
After the votes were cast, Tres Kantos was declared as the first CelebriTeam winner of the show. They received P2 million, of which half would be given to their chosen charity.
