MANILA, Philippines – Angelina Mead King, formerly known as Ian King, shared details about her transition to become a woman and how she told her family about this.
In a short video posted by Tim Yap, Angelina said that she stopped wearing men's underwear two years after she started dating model and VJ Joey Mead, who she later married.
"I gave up male underwear maybe two years after dating Jo," she said.
Tim then asked Angelina about how her family reacted.
"My dad had a hard time definitely. My stepmom was my supporter. My real mom was supportive. My brother [Atticus] was a little weirded out with it, but came on board," Angelina said.
"I just told the cousins maybe a few months before this, but now, there’s no need to tell anyone, I don’t need to explain myself."

Her mother, Marvy del Rosario Schuman, wrote in a Facebook post, "It takes courage to speak your truth... I am thrilled and happy that my child has found bliss! To live an honest life is the only way we should live."
In another interview with Tim in the Philippine Star, Angelina said: "It was a secret that I've kept for quite some time. I'm glad it's now out, so I don't have to explain myself anymore."
Her wife, Joey, said of their relationship: "I fought hard – tooth and nail, blood, sweat and tears for this relationship. Somehow it all breaks away. For what's life without a little bit of bizarreness?"

Angelina's mother, Marvy, also wrote on Facebook about Joey and Angelina's marriage: "I've been asked by many as to what will happen to the marriage of my kids. That, is up to them, but from what I feel, they're in love with each other, so with God's grace, they will be granted a long happy life together."
On her other Instagram account hailtothe_king, Angelina said that she would not grant any TV interviews for now.

Friends of the couple, as well as their followers on social media, have also shown their support for the two.
Angelina manages the Victoria Court chain of hotels and is also behind the Car Porn Racing automotive business.
She is the eldest child of businessman Archie King, who died in a helicopter crash last year.
