MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – TV host Kris Aquino arrived at Times Street in Quezon City with sons Joshua and Bimby as her brother, former President Benigno Aquino III, began his life as a private citizen after 6 years in Malacañang.
In a short interview with reporters on Thursday, June 30, Kris said it's up to her brother what he wants to do in his first few days as a private citizen.
"Bahala na siya. Oo, kung anong gusto niya. Kung anong type niyang gawin." (It's up to him. Yes, what he wants, what he feels like doing.)

Kris also bid farewell to the presidential security guards who took care of her brother and family.

The president, who returned to his parents' home, was met by supporters including singers Leah Navarro and Jim Paredes.
In an interview on 24 Oras, Wednesday, June 29, Kris, who taped for Marian Rivera's show Yan Ang Morning, said that her brother will have helpers with him at home.
"Meron kaming mga last-minute na chineck. Kasi hindi pa niya nakikita. Hindi naman surprise, it's just that he hasn't been inside the house. Ginawa iyon lahat na 'yung mga sisters ko ang nangialam," she said adding they made sure that there is food and that everything has been prepared.
(We had some last-minute things to check, because he hasn't seen what's inside. It's not a surprise, it's just that he hasn't been inside the house. My sisters did all of it, stepping in to make sure everything was okay.)
Kris said her sons will make sure their uncle will enjoy his life as a private citizen.
"Nag-promise siya doon sa two boys na kasi nagyaya sila na 'Tito Noy, you said you wanted to go to the beach, so you're going to bring us.' Kasi parang nasabi niya iyon na ang dami niyang inaugurate, ang dami niyang tree planting ginawa pero siya mismo na maglakad-lakad doon, so iyon siguro yung mga gagawin.
(He made a promise to the two boys because they were asking him 'Tito Noy, you said you wanted to go to the beach, so you're going to bring us there.' Because he said before that he has inaugurated many events, he did so many tree-planting activities, but has yet to walk around there so I guess that's what they will do. )
"Tapos sinabi din nila na may mga movies sila na nilista na sinabi nila kay Tito Noy na we have to watch this," Kris shared.

Although he will now be a private citizen, PNoy will still have members of the Presidential Security Group with him. Kris, meanwhile, said she would hire private security for her children.
In the same report, Kris also called on everyone to support President Rodrigo Duterte, who was sworn in on Thursday.
"I pray for President Duterte. I pray that our country will continue to prosper economically and sana kasi parang bilang nanay, gusto ko 'yung curfew... bilang nanay I think na in the same way, na ang dami-daming nagdasal din naman kay Noy to finish it and to be successful. I'll do my share also," she said.
