MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – After her estranged husband Timothy Tan confirmed that they have separated, actress Sunshine Dizon gave her side of the story.
In a statement coursed through her manager Perry Lansigan, Tuesday, June 21, Sunshine said that what she is going through is not easy and that she would like to keep things quiet in the meantime for the sake of her two children Anton and Doreen.
Sunshine's official statement read:
"Hindi po madali ang pinag dadaanan ko at ng mga anak ko ngayon (What my children and I are going through isn't easy).I'm trying my best to keep everything private but my situation as an actress makes it difficult to keep everything away from the public.
She continued: "Please bear with me in this difficult situation as I am preparing for battle."
"Hindi ko po ipagkakait sa inyo ang mga mangyayari sa buhay ko at sa pinaglalaban ko legally as your overwhelming support inspires me to fight not only for myself, for my children but also for those out there who are in the same situation like me.
(I will not be selfish with all of you about what is happening in my life and what I am legally fighting for as your overwhelming support inspires me to fight not only for myself, for my children but also for those out there who are in the same situation like me.)
"As a wife and mother who uncovered lies hindi po tama siguro na ako ay manahimik lamang and I assure everyone that I will finish this legal battle until the end. Makakaasa po kayo na magsasalita po ako ng katotohanan lamang sa tamang panahon."

The note read: "I would like to sincerely thank everyone for showing your support and love. A lot of you I don't know but still, you went out of your way to make me feel that I am not alone."
"Some of you have also shared your own stories. [It] breaks my heart all the more knowing there are a lot of you suffering in silence," it continued.
"I hope one day my story becomes your story, a story of courage. This is not just my fight anymore but also your fight. Do not feel small and ashamed. Keep your heads up and have pride. Stand on truth. Fight for what is right and just. Lalaban po tayo. (We shall fight.)"
Reports first surfaced that Sunshine was going through marital problems when she posted quote cards on Instagram that hinted at is.
Sunshine, known for her roles in various GMA shows including the original Encantadia, married Timothy in 2010. They have two children. – Rappler.com
