MANILA, Philippines – A young boy from Antipolo got the attention of all 3 coaches on The Voice Kids when he performed Bamboo's "Hallelujah."
Dressed in a black vest, shirt, and pants, 9-year-old Miguel Suarez was able to make coach Lea Salonga turn her chair first, followed by Sharon Cuneta and then Bamboo.
Bamboo thanked Miguel for singing the song and later asked why he was wearing a vest. Miguel said that he wore the vest because he wanted to copy his father's outfit.
When Lea called out for Miguel's father, host Luis Manzano came out to greet everyone, with the audience and the coaches laughing as Luis and Bamboo shared a light moment in between.
Bamboo thanked Miguel and his dad, saying: "Thank you for choosing that song. It's a song of hope. It's a big part of what I do and who I am."
Lea, meanwhile, commented that Miguel gave an electrifying performance.
Miguel eventually chose to be part of Bamboo's team.
