MANILA, Philippines – Actor Bernard Palanca and Jerika Ejercito confirmed that they have broken up after 4 years of being in a relationship.
On Instagram, Bernard answered one follower's post of the lyrics "Let Her Go."
Bernard wrote: "[Casssy88] For the record, I didn't let her go. She replaced me..."

Jerika also took to Instagram to clarify the breakup, saying there was no third party, despite recent posts of her with another guy.
"To set the record straight... Once and for all, no one replaced anyone just like that. I have kept our breakup very private out of respect for the father of my child.
"There are MANY, MANY PAINFUL reasons why I decided I have had enough and it is my right to keep it between the two of us.
"We had a good run for 4 years. But in the end I had to choose the lesser evil. So please stop with the speculations," Jerika said.
She added: "Walang kawawa dito kung hindi kaming dalawa. We tried but it just wasn't meant to be. God knows I gave it my all and more. It has been almost a year since we parted ways but I'm not the type to air out all our dirty [laundry]. So please, just respect my space and my decision to move on. Salamat po."

Jerika is the daughter of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada with former actress Laarni Enriquez. She is the sister of Jake Ejercito.
