MANILA, Philippines – US president Barack Obama stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, June 9 and "slow jammed" what he accomplished during his 8-year term.
Obama opened by saying how privileged he was to lead the US in times of difficulty, starting with the 2008 recession. Jimmy jumped off from there, singing a sultry, "Aw, yeah. President Obama stimulated long-term growth in both the public and the private sector."
From there, the US president also spoke about climate change, the legalization of same-sex marriage, health care, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
"Look Jimmy, the TPP allows American businesses to sell their products both at home and abroad. The more we sell abroad, the more higher paying jobs we have at home, it's that simple," said Obama, before Jimmy, The Roots, and the president himself start dancing to Rihanna's "Work."
Meanwhile, in between his speech and Jimmy's singing, The Roots threw shade at presidential candidate Donald Trump and reference Obama's endorsement of Hillary Clinton.
Obama also shared his thoughts about the upcoming US elections, saying, "America's best days are still yet to come."
