MANILA, Philippines – Calvin Harris has broken his silence following reports that he and Taylor Swift split after 15 months of dating.
On Twitter on Friday, June 3, Calvin confirmed that they did break up, but followed it by saying that he and Taylor are on good terms: "The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end and what remains is a huge amount of love and respect."

Taylor retweeted Calvin, but did not add to his statement.
Some reports from US entertainment outlets claim that Calvin was "intimidated by [Taylor's] success" and that he had been "bored for a while" with the pop star.
People magazine also cites multiple sources, saying their a clash of personalities was a factor in their split. "Swift's more outgoing personality and large circle of friends clashed with Harris's introverted personality," it reported.
Separate sources for E! News and People say that while there was no drama involved in their breakup, things just didn't work out.
