MANILA, Philippines – James Corden and Anne Hathaway dropped the mic in an epic rap battle on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

In the May 24 episode, James and Anne took to the rap ring – complete with robes and entrance songs – ready to take each other down in the show's "Drop the Mic" segment.

"Like when a movie gets smart / her rhymes are gonna flop" started James, adding, "I'm like the Drake of this battle / and Anne is Meek Mill / Now it's her turn to act a little scary / 'cos the only Catwoman I acknowledge is Halle Berry."

From there, the hits just kept on coming, with Anne kicking off her heels and rhyming, among many other things, about how James is "the worst British export since smallpox" and his show's ratings: "I saw your rhymes are like your ratings, damn, they're incredibly weak," finishing off with "I'm like your wife: I watch Seth Meyers instead.”

After a back and forth with references to Anne's movie performances and her 2011 Oscars hosting gig, Anne closed the battle out with: "I battle with love and joy, so I am always unafraid / But son, now you know how it feels to get Hatha-slayed.”

Do you agree with the audience's verdict on the winner? Who do you think should have won the rap battle? Let us know in the comments! – Rappler.com
