MANILA, Philippines – Actor Sid Lucero, real name Timothy Eigenmann, won the best actor award at the 19th Los Angeles Comedy Festival held from May 12-22 in the US.
Sid won for his role in Toto, which was part of the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival New Wave line-up.

According to the synopsis, Toto is about “Antonio 'Toto' Estares who is from Tacloban. He tries to get to the US to support his family. Toto must fulfill the dream of a better life for his family, something he promised his mother, who is sick with cancer.

Toto won 4 awards at the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival: New Wave Best Supporting Actor for Thou Reyes, New Wave Best Supporting Actress for Bibeth Orteza, Best New Wave Film Director for John Paul Su, and the New Wave Full Length Jury Prize.
