MANILA, Philippines – A day after the May 9 elections, celebrities took to social media to express their thoughts about the electionl results coming in from precincts all over the country. 

From New York, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach said:" Mabuhay, mga kababayan.Patuloy tayong magdasal at magtiwala na ang mga mahalal ay [karapat] dapat. Pati po ako puyat, kabado, at nagaabang. Mahal na Diyos, kayo na po ang bahala (Keep praying and have faith that whoever gets elected is worthy. Even I am tired, nervous, waiting. Lord, it's up to you)."

She also recalled the moment when Camarines Sur congresswoman Leni Robredo asked her a question during the Binibining Pilipinas 2015 pageant. Robredo is currently leading by a slim margin against Senator Bongbong Marcos in the vice presidential race.

I admire their compassion and integrity....It's just great to know that such people still exist. By people I mean people whose main goal is to be a public servant and not just a politician.
