Actress Vivian Velez posted her sentiments on Facebook.
"Using children for political interests? I watched this anti-Duterte TV ad and it's sickening. Where is human decency in all of this? Shame on these people!" she said.

Arnell Ignacio also posted a video on Facebook about the issue. Part of the video said: "Oh ano?
(Oh so now what? We're the stupid ones? We're the ones who are not thinking? Whose idea was it to release such a commercial? That you use children to talk, who would believe that children would think like that? That they would ask such questions? The battle at this point is establishing who is the most authentic. So who will believe that? Who's the one who's laughable, right? The things you've been dubbing. Who's the one who looked like a fool?)

"Hoy. Move on na. The five minutes are over."
On Friday, May 6, supporters of Duterte lashed out at TV stations ABS-CBN, GMA-7 and TV-5 for airing the advertisement, which was paid for by vice presidential candidate Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
The ad showed clips of the Davao mayor cursing, along with his famous controversial rape remark, which was followed by kids' statements. (READ: Anti-Duterte ad by Trillanes riles up Duterte supporters)
In his interview on Friday, May 6, with Rappler's Maria Ressa, Duterte's running mate Senator Alan Peter Cayetano addressed the controversy.
"The negative ads where they exploit the children and they cut the mayor's speeches to make it appear [the opposite] of what he was really saying is part of the bigger conspiracy of the last 3 issues that they have against him," he said.
He also said that while the rape joke was part of the speech, the TV stations never gave the mayor a chance to explain his side. – Rappler.com
