MANILA, Philippines – Sam Smith's song for the new James Bond movie Spectre has been released online.
"Writing's on the Wall" was released on Spotify Friday, September 25. The song was written by Sam and Jimmy Napes.

Sam gave a short message on his Facebook.
"Thank you for all your amazing messages. Today is such a special day for me and I am so grateful to everyone supporting this track xx," he wrote.

In an interview posted on the James Bond website, Sam had this to say about recording the song for Spectre:
This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
