MANILA, Philippines – "No one's slick as Gaston, no one's quick as Gaston," the Beauty and the Beast song goes. But the question about who can do a better portrayal of the narcissistic huntsman between Hugh Jackman and Luke Evans has yet to be settled – until they faced off in BBC One's The Jonathan Ross Show.
Jonathan challenged Hugh, who played Gaston in the original 1995 Australian production of the stage musical, and Luke (also known for The Hobbit), who will play the role in an upcoming live-action version, to do a sing-off with the tune "Gaston." Kingsman star Taron Egerton was also eager and joined in to sing the parts of the sycophantic LeFou.
Grasping huge beer mugs, they launch into song and take turns with the lines. Watch the video above to see who concedes between the two.
Gaston may be incomparable – a "pure paragon," as the song goes – but who do you think plays the character better among the two actors? Let us know in the comments! – Rappler.com
