BLACKPINK’s Lisa has tested positive for COVID-19, while other members of the K-pop group are awaiting their results.
The group’s agency YG Entertainment said in a statement published on Soompi that Lisa was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday, November 24. They said that her fellow BLACKPINK members Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo “have not been classified as close contacts yet” but have undergone RT-PCR testing and are waiting for their results.
The agency said they have informed representatives and staff, and “took strong preemptive measures even beyond the guidelines of health authorities.” They pledged full support for the health of their artists and staff, and said they would be releasing updates for any changes.
Lisa was recently seen at 88Rising’s Head In The Clouds Music Festival, where she met up with her friend NIKI, who headlined. The festival was held on November 6 and 7 in Pasadena, California. – Rappler.com
