K-pop girl group aespa channeled their inner warriors in the music video for their song “Savage,” which premiered on YouTube on Tuesday, October 5.
aespa, known for their concept of having avatars as the alter-egos of the four human members, continued their unique storyline in the latest single.
Serving as a follow-up to their tracks “Black Mamba” and “Next Level,” the “Savage” music video sees the aespa members and their avatars receiving help from “naevis,” their AI system, to fight the villain, Black Mamba.
The video has since racked up over two million views since its premiere.
“Savage” is also the title track of aespa’s first mini-album of the same name. According to a Korea Herald report, Winter said in an online press conference, “The album is jam-packed with songs portraying various charms of the group, from energetic dance tunes, such as ‘Savage,’ to emotional pop songs.”
“We hope that the album could prove aespa is a group capable of a diverse musical spectrum and also show that our universe will continue to expand,” Karina added about the six-track album.
