Tracy Maureen Perez was named Miss World Philippines 2021 at the pageant’s coronation night which began on Sunday evening, October 3 and ended up running until the early hours of Monday, October 4.
Tracy was selected for the crown out of 44 other candidates. She will be representing the country in the international pageant – the 70th edition of Miss World – in Puerto Rico in December.
Alongside Tracy, six other women were crowned:
Miss Eco Philippines: Kathleen Paton
Reinahispanoamericana Filipinas: Emmanuelle Vera
Miss Tourism Philippines: Trisha Martinez
Miss Environment Philippines: Michelle Arceo
Miss Multinational Philippines: Shaila Rebortera
Miss Eco Teen Philippines: Tatyana Austria
They will go on to represent the Philippines in their respective international competitions abroad.
Dindi Pajares was appointed Miss Supranational Philippines ahead of the coronation night. She competed in the international pageant in Poland in August, and finished in the Top 12. She was also crowned at the coronation night.
Runners-up include Riana Pangindian as first princess, and Ganiel Krishnan as second princess.
Tracy is the first Miss World Philippines since 2019’s winner Michelle Dee. The pageant was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. – Rappler.com
