Much has been said about Netflix’s top-watched show in the world right now, Squid Game. (You can already practically piece together its whole plot with the number of spoilers on social media.)
To add to the conversation, we’d like to give our hot take on the show. To us, it’s not the violence that is the most disturbing part of the show: it’s the false sense of free will. This is especially unnerving given that Squid Game is supposed to be set in the real world, present day, under the systems we, the viewers, also operate in.
