TV host and former beauty queen Maggie Wilson announced Monday, September 27, that she and her husband of over a decade, Victor Consunji, were separating.
“We want you to hear it from us directly. Vic and I have made the difficult decision a while back to separate. It’s been challenging to say the least, but we want you to know that there is no animosity between us,” Maggie, Binibining Pilipinas World 2007, said in an Instagram post.
The TV host said they “remain good friends and partners and will continue to do so.” Maggie and Victor share a son, Connor.
“Both of us want nothing more than for each other to be happy. We’d like to ask for your kindness, understanding, love and support as we navigate this new chapter in our lives,” she added.
Neither Maggie nor Victor have given further details about their split.
Maggie and Victor wed in 2010. Maggie started her showbiz career in GMA, starring in several shows before she was tapped to be an MTV Asia VJ. She later joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant and represented the Philippines in the Miss World competition. She has since gone on to host several TV shows and opened the furniture and decor store Casa Consunji.
Victor is the grandson of DMCI founder and former Cabinet official David M. Consunji. He owns the construction company Victor Consunji Incorporated. – Rappler.com
