After walking on the runway in their swimsuits, the 28 candidates of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 showcased evening gowns from different Filipino designers on the preliminary competition that premiered on Sunday, September 26.
The initial top 30 was cut down to 28, after two candidates dropped out – Joanna Marie Rabe of Zambales due to dengue fever, and Davao City’s Ybonne Ortega.
