Angelica Jones has appealed to the public for prayers after she, her son, and her mother tested positive for COVID-19.
The actress-politician revealed this in a Facebook post on Saturday, April 10.
“Me, my mom, and Angelo are positive of COVID-19. Humihingi kami po ng inyong patuloy na dasal malampasan namin itong pagsubok (We’re appealing for you continued prayers so we can surpass this challenge),” she said.
Angelica said her mom, Beth, is now in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). “She has pneumonia and COVID-19. Please, really need your prayers,” she wrote.
Angelica, who also contracted pneumonia due to COVID-19, and her 8-year-old son have been confined, as well.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Angelica shared that she and her son Angelo had to isolate at home first before getting confined at a hospital because they had difficulty finding a room.
“Punong-puno na ang kuwarto, wala nang bakante, punong-puno ng COVID patients…. Akala ko talaga katapusan ko na) The rooms were all occupied, there was no vacancy, filled with COVID patients…. I really thought it was the end for me.)
Angelica, who starred in the film Mr. Suave, is a Board Member in the 3rd District of Laguna.
